Service Engineer – Crushers
QMS are looking for experienced Service Engineers / Crusher Fitters to join our Bardon Hill based team. Working within the service department you will be involved in the maintenance of crushing plant in quarries. When you are not working on site you will be carrying out work at QMS on crushers and crusher components that have been brought to QMS for repair.
This role involves travel / site work around the UK and regular overtime at weekends / evenings / bank holidays.
Previous experience of cone and / or jaw and / or large gyratory crushers is essential.
Apprenticeship / Trainee Service Engineer – Crushers
This is an excellent opportunity to learn on the job and develop your skills. Ideally you will have relevant experience in welding or mechanical fitting and will be looking to build on these practical skills. We will provide a comprehensive training programme and consider applicants interested in pursuing an advanced apprenticeship.

Global Business Development Executive / Sales Engineer
Working closely with the business development manager you will generate sales in the UK and abroad. You will also provide account management services and travel to customer sites when required. This role would suit a motivated and ambitious individual looking to pursue a career in sales/business development. You must be able to identify and close sales leads. Previous relevant experience and / or an engineering background preferred.
Global Sales Support Executive / Telesales
Working as part of the business development team you will split your time between providing general sales support / administration and generating new business leads through outbound telephone calls. You must enjoy customer contact particularly on the phone and possess excellent administration and Microsoft Office skills. Previous relevant experience is essential.
CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator – Puma 700LM 3.2m Bed, 900 Swing, Fanuc 21i-TB Control.
Candidates for this CNC Programmer role must be able to demonstrate previous experience in Fanuc Programming within a precision/heavy engineering environment.
A sound understanding of manufacturing processes particularly turning and milling is required as is an understanding of tooling, jigs, fixtures and their application in the manufacturing process.
You must be able to read drawings and understand technical specifications with the ability to interpret into manufacturing information and carry out self verification of technical compliance with appropriate measuring equipment and techniques.
Manual Vertical Borer
We are also looking for a Manual Vertical Borer to operate a Webster Bennett machine. Suitable candidates must be able to competently set and operate a Webster Bennett manual vertical borer. Manufacture large precision components compliant with drawing requirements. Carry out self verification of technical compliance with appropriate measuring equipment. Establish job requirements from engineering drawings and job instruction sheets.
