  1. CNC Miller (Setter & Operator) – this role offers on the job training to become a programmer


The Role:


We have a vacancy for an experienced setter operator in the CNC Milling Department who is looking to progress their career. You will be an intelligent, capable, setter operator who has the confidence in your ability to progress to the next level. You must have the capability to learn to program in Fanuc and/or Heidenhain.


About You:


Successful Applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:


  • Applicants must be willing to learn, follow instruction and have a can do attitude.
  • You must be able to read drawings and understand technical specifications with the ability to interpret into manufacturing information and carry out self-verification of technical compliance with appropriate measuring equipment and techniques.
  • You must already be a competent machinist with experience in setting & operating CNC machines within a machine shop environment.
  • Some exposure to or experience of Programming (Heidenhain or Fanuc) would be an advantage.
  • This role would suit an individual who has completed their Apprenticeship in Engineering.


Day shift – Monday to Friday – Overtime available.


  1. Wet Paint Sprayer


The Role:


  • Must have experience as a paint sprayer with wet paints within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of various different types of paint.
  • Attention to detail and conscious of a quality finish.
  • Flexible with attitude to work and an attitude to “get stuck in”
  • This is an opportunity for a permanent role after a probationary period


Day shift – Monday to Friday – Overtime available.


  1. Service Engineer – Crushers


QMS are looking for experienced Service Engineers / Crusher Fitters to join our Bardon Hill based team. Working within the service department you will be involved in the maintenance of crushing plant in quarries. When you are not working on site you will be carrying out work at QMS on crushers and crusher components that have been brought to QMS for repair.


This role involves travel / site work around the UK and regular overtime at weekends / evenings / bank holidays.


Previous experience of cone and / or jaw and / or large gyratory crushers is desirable.


  1. Apprenticeship / Trainee Service Engineer – Crushers


This is an excellent opportunity to learn on the job and develop your skills. Ideally you will have relevant experience in welding or mechanical fitting and will be looking to build on these practical skills. We will provide a comprehensive training programme and consider applicants interested in pursuing an advanced apprenticeship.


This role involves travel / site work around the UK and regular overtime at weekends / evenings / bank holidays.
